Privacy and saved information
This explains what stays on your device and which services receive requests. You do not need an account to browse or save places.
Information stored on this device
Your browser stores up to 200 saved places, including names, addresses, page links, categories and save dates, in local storage (tripfood.saved.v1). This list is not synced to an account or server. Different browsers and domains do not share it.
Unsave a place or clear this site's browser data to remove it. If storage is blocked, the list may last only for the current tab and disappear on reload. Copying or sharing a list happens when you choose that action.
Public sources and place information
We may collect metadata from public coverage, including URLs, titles, channel names and identifiers, publication dates and public view counts, alongside place addresses and verification records. We do not connect visitors' private YouTube accounts or viewing histories. Public channel information can also be the subject of correction or display-removal requests.
Search terms and selected destinations or categories may appear in page URLs and be included when you share them. Do not enter private contact details or sensitive information in search fields.
External services used on the page
Your browser directly loads video thumbnails from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com), maps from OpenFreeMap and some webfonts from jsDelivr. When configured, detail pages for places with confirmed addresses load Google Maps Embed, sending the place name, address, city and site domain to Google. These external providers may also receive your IP address, browser information and other information needed for the request.
Opening a video, map or source link takes you to an external service. Loading an external map and opening links are subject to that provider's cookie and information-handling policies. Map coordinates describe places, not your current location.
Location used for nearby search
Browsing a destination you select does not need your current location. The nearby page requests location once only after you read the explanation, agree to this use and press the confirmation button. Refusing permission does not prevent destination search.
Received latitude, longitude and positioning accuracy are used only for distance calculations and the accuracy display on the current screen. This location is not sent to GOGO Place servers or its database, or stored in URLs, cookies or browser storage. The nearby screen does not load an external map or thumbnails based on your position, and result links are not prefetched before you open them.
The position held by the screen is cleared when you stop using it, leave the page or hide the tab. The browser's permission is separate and can be revoked in site settings. Browser and operating-system providers apply their own policies when determining location. When you open Google directions, the link contains only the destination place; any use of your location there follows that service's settings.
Administrator authentication and operational records
Administrator login uses Supabase Auth; ordinary browsing does not. The submitted email and password are used to authenticate access, which is restricted to approved administrators. An authentication token is stored in an HttpOnly cookie until token expiry or deletion of the site's authentication cookie on sign-out.
Application and database servers may record requests and errors for service operation. No separate visitor-behaviour analytics or advertising tracker is currently connected in the app. This does not mean hosting or external providers keep no access logs.
The site's request inbox
Without asking for a name or email, the form stores the language, request type, target page path, message, submission time and receipt in a private Supabase inbox for administrator review of errors, rights and privacy questions. There is no public inbox lookup. Target URL queries and fragments are not stored.
Requests do not yet expire automatically. You may request removal using the previous receipt. For abuse prevention, connection addresses are hashed temporarily to limit request frequency in server memory. Neither addresses nor hashes are stored in the inbox. Choosing a separate email or external form may send your sender address or entered information to that service.
Retention, removal and questions
Saved lists have no automatic expiry and remain in this browser until removed. Retention periods for collected server data, access and authentication records, processing locations and operator details still need to be confirmed for the actual deployment. Public launch is not ready until those details and the contact channel below are confirmed.
For access, correction or removal questions, provide the affected page and explain your request. Do not send passwords, identity documents, national identification numbers or another person's private information. Removal of an external original may also require contacting its publisher.
