How places are selected and ordered

We count distinct channel owners behind eligible coverage. Channels linked to the same owner and several videos from one channel do not add more creators. That is why video totals and creator totals differ.

Sources marked as sponsored, campaign-related, reposted, about another city or branch, or excluded after review are left out. Press and commentary are not added to the creator count either. Excluded material is shown separately with reasons. No sponsorship label does not mean a source is unsponsored.

Currently, a page needs at least three distinct eligible creators and one eligible source published within the past 180 days. Its identity, city and branch must be resolved, with location information and a recorded open status. Being a chain is not itself a reason for exclusion.

The date relevant to the verification method must be within the past 90 days. An official-information or source check date is different from the latest coverage date used by some automatically processed records. Recent coverage does not mean a person recently checked that the shop is open. Confirm hours and closures with the shop before visiting.

An exact address can be useful without coordinates; we do not invent a map pin. A city's collected list may also contain candidates that have not met the place-page requirements. Details still under review are identified separately.

An individual location counts coverage confirmed for that branch. Coverage of another or an unidentified branch is not transferred into its count.

A brand collection groups one brand within one city. It can include coverage without a specific branch when the city and brand match, but not material excluded for another city or branch. Brand-wide coverage is not transferred into another branch's count or treated as proof of that branch's food quality or current operation.

Find a brand you like, then compare addresses in its branch list to choose a location near your stay or along your route. Map and directions links help you get there. Check the selected branch's own menu and hours separately.

The default home discovery section and ‘Explore a variety’ start from creator-count order, then rotate countries and cities. Chain status gives no advantage or penalty. There is no fixed mix or display cap for individual places or brands.

Within your filters, we move repeated brands, cover images and food categories further down when other choices are available. We do not drop places or add places outside your selected city. The full matching list remains available.

When you choose ‘Most creators’ or ‘Latest coverage’, that order is preserved. City Top 10 lists, search-interest rankings and other labelled rankings follow their stated rules. Latest coverage means publication date, not visit date.

Coverage languages are shown separately. Language alone does not establish whether someone is a resident or a tourist. Translated pages can share the same underlying coverage; translation does not create another mention in that language.

Destination-search rankings, creator counts and reference-link totals are different measurements. We do not turn them into visit totals or one taste score. Web material in ‘Reference links’ is not added to the creator count.

Notes can draw on material such as video titles available when written. They do not imply that we watched every video in full, and may not reflect later changes in coverage, menus, prices or hours. Consult the original sources and the shop's own information.
